Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (Dispensing until 5:30pm) Wednesday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Dispensing until 5:30pm) Thursday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Dispensing until 5:30pm) Friday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Dispensing until 5:30pm) Saturday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Dispensing until 5:30pm) Sunday: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Dispensing until 5:30pm) We are closed for all major holidays.

WHAT INSURANCES DO YOU ACCEPT?
Our office is an all-access provider. We can bill out benefits that are available to a patient that is considered out-of-network. Our office also offers a standing 20% off products and services on top of the out-of-network benefits to mend the gap of out vs. in-network. We bill most vision plans (used for routine vision exams and hardware including frames, lenses and contact lenses. Accepted insurances ranging from Premera, Aetna, Cigna, VSP, Davis Vision, Spectera and Eyemed. We know how confusing understanding the details of your plan can be; therefore, our staff is more than happy to assist you in verifying benefits with your insurance provider.

DOES THE DOCTOR EXAMINE CHILDREN?
Yes, Dr. Defigueiredo is very comfortable and adept at examining children. He has been known to be soft-spoken and calming for children. We recommend children under 5 YO be examined by a pediatric optometrist.

HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Patients can easily navigate to our website at www.coopersoptique.com to book an eye exam, contact lens exam, eyewear consultation, dispense or repair appointments. Walk-ins for all services are welcome except eye and contact lens exams.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE AND/OR BRING WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Once an appointment is made, patients will receive a confirmation text/email. If a patient’s appointment is for an eye or contact lens exam, you will receive a link to complete an intake form. If you are not able to complete the form prior to your appointment, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete the form at our office. We ask that patients bring their most current pair of glasses and contact lens information (brand and power) if available. If a patient is wearing contact lenses for the exam appointment, we will provide supplies to remove the contact lenses for the appointment.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY EYE EXAM?
Your eye exam will take approximately 30 minutes depending on your eye concerns. Dr. Defigueiredo will perform a comprehensive eye exam which will involve examining your vision for glasses or contacts, assessing the front and back health of your eyes for diseases such as dry eyes, infections, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration. During pre-testing we perform an auto-refraction to get a base line prescription for the doctor and a tonometer to measure the pressure of your eyes. Please let our office know if there are any tests/procedures that you may be uncomfortable with or would like to learn more about.

WILL MY EYES BE DILATED?
Dr. Defigueiredo will do a review of your health history and examine the eyes, if he feels there is a need to dilate your eyes to examine the patients eyes future.

WHAT IS YOUR PRESCRIPTION AND CONTACT LENS RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY?
All prescription lenses are considered special order, and are therefore non-refundable. Contact lenses may only be returned if the box is unopened, undamaged and with no markings on the box. Contact lens returns will be for an in-store credit.

DO YOU FILL MEDICAID GLASSES?
No, unfortunately we do not participate in the Medicare program and are unable to bill Medicare directly. We are able fill outside Medicaid prescriptions.

CAN I PUT NEW LENSES TO MY OWN FRAME?
Yes of course! Just simply bring us the frame and a copy of the prescription for the lenses you want placed in your frame. You will only be charged for new lenses. Please note that we are not responsible for damage or breakage to customer's own frame, new or used, if only prescription lenses are ordered.

WHO DO I CONTACT IF I HAVE AN EYE EMERGENCY?
We realized that not all eye related problems happen Monday through Friday. If you are an established patient please call our office for instructions. Please note that all medical emergencies should be directed to 911 or the nearest emergency room.
